• High School powerlifters compete at LCM

Girls Powerlifting from Little Cypress-Mauriceville, Feb. 9, 2017

 

Scout Bebee placed 1st in the 132-weight class with a total of 535 pounds and is currently ranked 8th in the region.

 

Katelyn Comeaux placed 1st in the 198-weight class with a total of 805 pounds and is currently ranked 2nd in the region.

 

Denisha Dodis placed 1st in the 220-weight class with a total of 750 pounds and is currently ranked 4th in the region.

 

A'Tiere'Aniey Simpson placed 2nd in the 220-weight class with a total of 630 pounds and is currently ranked 10th in the region.

 

Lennie Mangindin placed 3rd in the 148-weight class with a total of 495 pounds.

 

Alyssa Rogers placed 3rd in the 198-weight class with a total of 620 pounds and is currently ranked 8th in the region.

 

Shelby Woods Placed 4th in the 148-weight class with a total of 495 pounds.

 

Hannah Gilbert placed 6th in the 198-weight class with a total of 410 pounds.

 

Jayden Behling did not compete at this past meet, but she is ranked 6th in the region in her weight class. 

 

*Six out of nine girls are favored to go to regionals with these current standings. This will be the most to ever go from Silsbee High School. The THSWPA regional meet is March 2nd and will be held at Edna High School in Edna, TX.

 

 

Boys Powerlifting from Little Cypress-Mauriceville, Feb. 9, 2017

 

Silsbee boys powerlifting finished in second place at the Bear Iron Invitational at Little Cypress-Mauriceville on Feb. 9, 2017.

 

Will Fontaine placed first in in the 132-weight class with a total of 700 pounds.

 

Marquell Hale placed first in the 242-weight class with a total of 1455 pounds.

 

Dillon Tarver placed second in the 165-weight class with a total of 945 pounds.

 

Adam Carrell placed second in the 181-weight class with a total of 1005 pounds.

 

Johnathan Hageon placed second in the 275-weight class with a total of 1220 pounds.

 

Daniel Grant placed third in the 242-weight class with a total of 1230 pounds.

 

Cody Duncan placed fourth in the 220-weight class with a total of 1020 pounds.

 

Brandon Kelly placed fourth in the SHW class with a total of 1070 pounds.

 

Robert Finch placed sixth in the 220-weight class with a total of 970 pounds.

 

Hayden Glenn placed sixth in the 275-weight class with a total of 1150 pounds.

 

Samuel Roundtree placed seventh in the 275-weight class with a total of 1030 pounds.

 

Those that did not place were:

Kaden Norris in the 165-weight class with a total of 740 pounds.

 

Johnathan Harvey in the 132-weight class with a total of 530 pounds.

 

Ethan Herline in the 148-weight class with a total of 460 pounds.

 

Ethan McMullen in the 220-weight class with a total of 570 pounds.

 

Carlos Rodriguez in the SHW class with a total of 865 pounds.
