CSCOPE CURRICULUM
Silsbee ISD is excited to participate in the Texas Education Service Center Curriculum Collaborative (TESCCC) and to use CSCOPE as a curriculum support system with our students. CSCOPE provides curriculum for core area subjects K-12. It is aligned with state standards, the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), and the state assessment, Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS). CSCOPE is a concept-based curriculum that provides a common language, structure and process for students and teachers. Exemplar lessons are included for teacher study and/or use; these lessons are based on the highly effective and research based 5-E model of instruction (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate.) Other resources are available for student and teacher use as well.
