SUMMER MEAL PROGRAM
Silsbee Independent School District is pleased to announce that we will be participating in the “Summer Seamless” Feeding Program, through the Texas Department of Agriculture. The program will begin on Monday, June 10, 2013, and run through Friday, July 26, 2013. In an effort to broaden our reach throughout the community, two feeding sites will be located in Silsbee. Silsbee ISD Receives a Technology Lending Grant
from the Texas Education Agency
Silsbee Independent School District has been awarded a Technology Lending Grant from the Texas Education Agency. This grant will serve freshmen and sophomores in English I and II using The Writing Coach - a web-based tool that is used to improve writing skills. The grant is not large enough to encompass the entire class. Students were selected to take part in the grant. By taking part in the grant, the students were loaned an iPad and internet service. The freshmen and sophomore English classes will have iPad sets in their classrooms.
